Vampire King Talks True Blood

Denis O'Hare joined the rest of the cast of Warner Bros Pictures' thriller Edge of Darkness for the film's premiere at the historic Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Jan. 26th. A tent kept the celebs nice and dry on the 'black' carpet, as So Cal's experiencing a weird wave of wet weather. O'Hare plays a government agent in the film and, according to the actor, director Martin Campbell was a real pleasure to work with. "He is like a great combination of a dad and a military recruiter," explained O'Hare. "So when he needs to be really, really scary and get you to shape up, he does that. And then he can be incredibly gentle and supportive and warm, and loving. He calls you my darling all the time. 'My darling, we're going to do this take and do it well!' But no, he's great."

At the premiere about.com  also had to ask O'Hare about a project he's currently working on:
True Blood. Okay, so 'had to' is a stretch... I'm a True Blood fan and getting to talk to the actor who's playing the Vampire King of Mississippi was more fun that work. He's filmed two episodes already, including one with Vampire Bill (played by Stephen Moyer). "[...]I had this great scene recently with Vampire Bill and it was a scene between two people talking about the people that they love, and what you do with that love. Because my boyfriend in the thing is 700 years old...I'm 2300 years old and we've been together for 700 years. And I have this great line where I say, 'Spend eternity together - that's commitment.' But, you know, the script is deep. It's not just frivolous, and I love that about it." Read/watch the interview...
