Twilight Vamp drinking Tru Blood?

I have to give kudos to HBO for their brilliant marketing of Tru Blood. The pre-sales gave fans a chance to order and have the beverage available for enjoying during the season finale. The HBO pre Emmy Lounge also had bottles of the blood orange drink available for guests. The photograph below is of Twilight vampire- Kellan Lutz with a bottle of Tru Blood. Of course it would have been a bigger coup for HBO if they had gotten a photo of him actually sipping the drink.

The Emmys are going on as I write this. Here is an Emmy red carpet arrival photo of Stephen Moyer who plays Civil War veteran vampire Bill Compton on True Blood. Mr. Moyer is scheduled to be a presenter at the 61st Emmy Award ceremony.

Sadly, Generation Kill did not win an Emmy for Outstanding Casing for a miniseries. The award went to PBS for Little Dorrit. Alexander Skarsgard had an amazing role in the film as Sgt. Brad "Iceman" Colbert. Due to filming requirements, Alexander was unable to attend the Emmys. He is scheduled to fly back to Sweden in October to complete filming for the movie "Puss Puss".

Update: Congratulations to True Blood for winning the "Breakthrough performance of the Year" Emmy award. What kind of emmy is that? Well it really did not have anything to do with the Emmys but it was based on a fan poll sponsored by TV.com. TV.com is owned by CBS (who ran the Emmys this year). Fans picked the scene where Bill meets Sookie for the first time over American Idol's crowing of Kriss Allen and Chuck kissing Blair on "Gossip Girl".

For the record, True Blood did win one Emmy this year for outstanding casting in a drama series. It was also nominated for outstanding art direction for a single-camera series and outstanding main title design.
